since my last confession. JUST JOKING! Although Mommy says I probably have a LOT to confess to so it would probably be worth it..

I've missed all my blogging pals and pups out there. Boy has my life changed. I went from being the spoiled rotten, only child that my parents adored and treated like a King..to being the big brother..which also means the "other" child that barely gets noticed, who never gets treatsies..but definitely gets yelled at! (Kaiser's Mommy interjecting here..Kaiser does not like acting like an older brother, and since his father and I have not been devoting all of our attention to him and doting on him all the time and taking him everywhere like we used to - Kaiser has been acting out..not destroying anything..but acting like a spoiled brat and not listening to anything we say until the 18th time we say it or until we make threats of punishment.)

They won't even let me near my little sister except for a sniff or a foot lick here and there. Something about me just getting too excited and being rambunctious..whatever. All they do is ooh and ahhh over her..and take pictures of her. Mommy did take some newer pics of me and Daddy last weekend but I'll have to share them with you laterz..until then..here's me..in the blurry corner of a picture of my sister doing something 'SOO AWESOME' (according to my parents)..I mean I lift my head all the time with no troubles and they don't sit there taking pictures of me trying to do it..

Here's another picture of her..no matter how jealous I am, I guess I do have to admit she's a cutie..good looks run in the family. :)

I'll write more laterz..gotta start packing..Mommy, Daddy and baby Makaeda are going to NC next weekend..so I get to go on vacation too..not with them..but somewherez..

Hi all - so sorry so long yet again. Mommy is just too freakin' concerned with this whole baby thing. From going to the doctor to picking out nursery colors and "preparing" the house..it seems like a whole bunch of hub bub for nothing but what...my mom's belly (which by the way is getting bigger but I won't say that to her.)

I haven't been up to much since my birthday, kinda just enjoying being a year old. Mommy and Daddy HAAAAAAD given me some extra freedom. Please notice the past tense of that. I was doing really well then Dad's friend Los came to stay with us for a night and it all went out the window..or started to anyways. Dad/Los said that it must've been the scent of Los' female boxer Sheba but Mom SWEARS it has to do with me wanting attention and needing to show out..but I ended up peeing all over the floor on Friday AND then again on Saturday! WHATEVER, stupid people! THEN, Mommy and Daddy have started leaving me out of my crate when they go away for a couple hours and I had been doing really well at holding down the house for them...well I got curious and started fumbling around with things I shouldn't be near..like Mommy's Rainbow flip flops...and I accidentally (I swear it was an accident) chewed one up. So yeah, that freedom is no more!

Other than that, not too much going on. Mommy started a new bloggie for my lil' sis - oh I forgot to say that I'm going to get a new little sis and her name is Makaeda Hope..she should be here around March 5th! My First Barkday

Well SHOCK SHOCK!! As promised, Mommy actually felt like updating today so here we are, updating! On to the celebration. Little did I know, the parents actually had a dayful of activities planned for 1 year old me! It started off with a ride in the car - which I haven't gotten much of lately since I no longer go to work with Dad. This was me, waiting patiently to get in the car. You'll notice that I do not have a leash on and that's because I'm such a good boy around the complex that Daddy (and somtimes Mommy) lets me go on my walkies without one on...yep that's right - I've earned some trust!

After a nice, sunny ride in the car with nose poked out the slit in the window..we arrived at one of my FAVORITE places - Bark N' Bubbles!!! (Visit their site here: http://www.barknbubblesdogwash.com/) Everyone is so nice there and I LOVE venturing around the 2-story building. There are so many great smells, they have toys and treatsies. I usually can't have any of the treatsies because I only eat grain-free products but Mommy treated me to a few during my bath because I was such a good boy (or to get my attention since I'm a freak but whatever!)

While we were there, the cutest little pup came in and I swear I thought my Mommy wanted to take him home. I started whining and she claimed it was jealousy but I really just wanted to let them unlatch me so I could go play with him. He is 4 months old and his name is Biggie!! Maybe once he gets older, they'll let me actually play with him.

After we left, and another sunny ride in the car, Mommy took some long way back home and they made 2 stops on the way home...one to some Pet place (which I KNEW had to do with me) and then to some food place for Mommy and Daddy. Mommy gets so cranky now when she's hungry so I knew Daddy must have been forced to do that before taking me home to get pressies.

So, once we got home - I DUG into my own dinner of Wellness Core Ocean Formula (my new food that I LOVE and is the best thing ever in life.. (http://www.wellnesspetfood.com/dog_wellness_grain_ocean.html). After that, I was kinda pooped so I took a nice long snooze in the bed before everyone's bedtime. Dad and I stayed up watching TV because Mom goes to bed early these days..and then we went to bed. They told me before nightie nite that I'd get my pressies and such tomorrow (today).

So this morning, I just waited patiently - didn't even eat my breakfast because I was so excited. They had some big brown bag on one of the chairs and I kept trying to sniff it but they wouldn't let me...something about taking off tags and such. SO THEN...once Mommy got the scissors together - it was TIME...this is me stretching my neck around to see what was going on (notice the nice shiny coat thanks to Pops' wash the day before)..

Here's a pic of me and Ape, my new chewy toy that squeaks on his tummy, his hands and his feetsies! I really just like biting at his crazy hair. Then, there's my new rope ball. Mommy thought I wouldn't be able to lift this one - HAHA - what does she know about that though?!?

Matter of fact, here's the progression of my rope balls...and I can still lift and somewhat toss the biggest one. Just give me a couple weeks..it'll be hitting her (Mommy) upside the head just like I've done with the smaller ones by my nice tosses.

Mommy and Daddy also bought me 2 collars - this is my new regular collar, it's really nice and sturdy. I love my Rasta one, but they said it's stinky. Plus yesterday at Bark N' Bubbles, I pulled Daddy so hard that I unlatched it myself! Thankfully this one shouldn't be that simple to break apart. Then Mommy got this other collar with these prongs that's supposed to get me "in control" on my walks. She tried it this morning and it got my attention quickly - guess I'll just have to behave from now on!

I think that's all for now. We have a big day of football planned today..and Daddy and Mommy are supposed to be taking me to get some new treatsies for my barkday since I'm almost out! Thanks for all the birthday wishes and hopefully I'll get to updating more often if Mommy (and Apple - what we're calling the baby at the moment) will cooperate!

okay, so i (my mommy) has been the slackest updater person in the whole entire world and she sends all of you her sincerest apawlogies once again!! i just don't know what i can do to get her to update this thing more often..

well, i'm officially almost 1-year old..where in the world has the time gone?!? i've been enjoying my summer so much and am still growing like a weed. i'm probably between 75 and 80 pounds now and doing quite well (except for the occasional unruly behavior which mommy would say happens more often than what dad would claim but i'm a daddy's boy so what can i say!).

things are changing in my house and i guess it has a lot to do with me getting older and actually having to act like a dog instead of a puppy. i'm going to try and beg mom to take some newer pics so we can share them..she's so slack like i said. dad and i have really been wondering what the heck she does that makes her so tired all of the time..she's glued to the couch..

then, we got the biggest UPDATE and news in the whole world. my mommy and daddy are having a BABY!!! i'm honestly having mixed feelings about this b/c mommy says i really need to get my act together before this happens..so we'll see about that. whatever it is..it's growing in my mommy's belly..daddy says she's just going into her 2nd trimester (again whatever that means)...

dad says i need to watch after her more and make sure she's okay so i'm doing my best at following her around and sitting by her...other than that, nothing has really been happening..just tried to enjoy the weather and the warm outside...how is everyone else doing??? i missed you!

i never thought i'd get back to updating my blog, but whaddya know? mom actually blessed me with enough time on the computer so i could update all my pals..first & foremost,

the barking loud crew had a guess what this is contest & in my young years, i was keen enough to come up with the answer..go me!!

so, i've been up to quite a bit...mommy & daddy have been so busy with work & you know a good son like me just goes with the flow. i seem to be getting back on track with my house training..hopefully the regression has ended because i really don't think mommy could take anymore..she & dad already went to buy new smell good stuff for the carpets. of course, that's only to hold the house over 'til i can get the carpet cleaners in here to do work. i figure that's the least i can do for practically peeing everywhere..the least, right?

so a couple weekends ago mommy & i had a really...well..a really tough saturday. daddy had to go to work & mom had a bunch of errands to run so i told them i'd be cool by myself for a few hours..probly take a nap, lick my privates & chew on my blankies. mommy came home, took me for a short walk, put me in my crate in the bedroom & turned on the itty bitty television to bide my time (i really enjoy watching telemundo on a saturday afternoon.)

all was well & good, but after like 2 hours i found myself pretty bored..i had exhausted all interesting items in the crate & resorted to chewing the latch. after about 1 more hour, mommy came in the door...& that's where my serene, happy-go-lucky afternoon ended...with a spanking, some fussing & a trip to BOTH petsmart & petco, not to mention a stern talking to from dad when he got home from work. if you look at my slideshow below, you'll see a pic of me where mommy had tied me to the dining room table (with nothing to look at but laundry) while she cleaned the house (my mess).

......pardon the interruption, but this is kaiser's mommy & i believe i should share a more accurate account of what ocurred that saturday afternoon..as kaiser said, i left him to go run a few errands & returned home about 3 hours later. as soon as i put the keys in the door, i heard a faint "ting, ting" of kaiser's tags on his collar which seemed very strange considering i had left the tv on for him in the room & shouldn't hear him whatsoever at this point. i opened the door to find a bad little puppy walking, head down, tail down toward me at the front door. at closer look, i noticed this bad little pup had left a streak of pee all down the hallway..starting in the kitchen, down by the bathroom, bedrooms..up to the front door. kaiser had also decided to make a mid-afternoon snack of his father's timbaland boots, & he must've concentrated heavily on the shoelaces considering he had made a meal of the ends & removed one completely from the shoe. i'm assuming his efforts at playing cowboys & indians had proved unsuccessful since his make-shift teepee (which had been created from a broken down crate) was all but laying flat on the ground. from there, my guess is he wanted to play dress-up but couldn't quite get his arms in his father's button-up shirt..as a result he had resulted to chewing the collar to a wet, dirty mess......

.......running out of carpet cleaner, i figured i'd get him out of the house & took him to petsmart with me for a refill gallon or so. what a mistake?!?! not only was it adoption day, but they were also conducting what seemed like 2 training classes so the store was overrun with pups...& kaiser couldn't stand it to save his life. we haven't put him in training so it was a constant state of pulling & lunging..him gasping for breath, throwing himself at people & other dogs, me in a constant state of tension, grasping for the rope with both hands..horrible. finally, i said, "kaiser, mommy has had enough! she can't take this anymore!!" & with that, i traipsed over to the leash & collar section only to find the smallest of collars & harnesses for what is now a 50 lb pup. so on we went to petco where i spent over $50 buying a leash with two handles, a harness with a section that tightens around his chest & a martingale collar. of course kaiser's father thought this the most hilarious of happenings & he & the boy both had some laughs (& nub twists) about it all that evening......

as mommy said, i'm officially like 50 lbs (probly a tad bit more since it's been a few days) & have been tearing through my allergen-free food. i just can't get enough...up to 4 cups of food per meal, twice a day!!! again, doc says it's all good since i'm filling out nicely, while looking lean & handsomer than ever (shout out to my baby bella - all this handsome is for you!) speaking of doc...how about she added a link to my blog on her website!! my celebrity has begun!!! to other very, very important news..the other evening, after a hard day on the job with daddy, we returned home to find a box at the front door. mommy first thought it was a mistake, but then realized it was the belated valentine from the jackman ave gang!!!! woooooohooooo i said, wiggling all around.. by the way: i totally believe that belated gifts may be better because they completely surprise you! mommy could NOT get that package open fast enough...i bit & chewed & tried everything i could..then...that wonderful box of goodness opened, complete "ahhhhhhh" moment, & what did i find?!? SOOOOOOOOOO many goodies..chewies, stuffies, squeakers, treatsies!!! oh my goodness. my fav had to have been the lips..these beautiful red squeaky lips...i use the past tense because they lasted all of 2 hours before their end. they were so fun while they lasted though...mommy & daddy laughed & laughed...i couldn't contain my excitement & started doing a bunny-hop back & forth...

you know i always like to try & maintain the happy on my blog, but i'd like to take a moment of silence for the UNC Student Body President, Eve Carson who was shot in Chapel Hill this past week..mommy & daddy both went to school there & the Carolina Family is very much a BIG deal...our thoughts, prayers & sympathies are with her family & friends & the entire Carolina Family surviving this beautiful, promising individual..

hi everyone..as usual, mommy took forever & a day to update my bloggie..& of course since she took extra long - i have goodies galore, tags galore & updates galore to share with all of you..let me start with the goodies...crikit, sparky & ginger gave me this special goodie - mommy calls it a boquet!!

it's the "so special award" & it makes me feel so very special so i'm happy that i can make others feel the same way..i'd like to give it to my beautiful sweetie, bella. i already sent her flowers for valentines, but you can never give your sweetie too many blooms..next we have the excellent award. this one was given to me by the jackman ave gang which includes the lovely penny and beauty lola. We now need to send this to ten writers of outstanding style and ability."

mommy was so proud to know that i'd received this award b/c it really means that my bloggie brightens the days of others...YAY!! i'd like to give this award to bogart and peanut.

so valentines day is over and i feel like the most loved dog ever. i received so many valentines and pup-o-grams and got so excited opening each one..there are so many to list, but here's a small sample..my honey's...and then the zoo crew...

yep, you guessed it - it's me, your pal Kaiser!!!! luckily i'm back in business & able to post again. thank you so much to everyone who sent great vibes & well wishes, or just thought of me during the day. i can definitely feel the love. i tell you, these arguments with my tummy & intestaments..intesta..my insides have had my life in shambles..well okay, not shambles but i can tell you that it hasn't been pleasant. technically i feel the same as always, but i just can't stop going to the bathroom/shooting poo when i'm out there.

now to the health recap & update:

- had a fecal exam showing signs of giardia & was put round of metronidazole & dewormer

- switched to wolf cub bison/salmon food in case of chicken allergy

- still suffered from loose stool & went for full course of exam

- had regular exam, xrays, blood panel, etc. etc. etc. (so kewl b/c daddy was able to see my growth plates & everything)

outcome:

- results came back positive & pretty normal for a growing pup

- i did have an elevated white blood cell count but doc figured it's cuz i have an allergy

- doc thinks i'm too young to have developed colitis

- mommy has to call to update her on my stool tomorrow & we'll go from there

either me or mommy will update everyone as the plot thickens...right now, we're just going to try to figure out what it is..but doc thinks we shouldn't worry too much at this moment since i'm obviously getting my nutrients, gaining weight & staying active

so now that the poo-ey (literally & figuratively) part of the post is over with...we'll get on to the regular updates..again - woohoo, our NY Giants just won the Super Bowl! this is a very excited household & i'm having trouble even typing cuz dad is busy screaming, clapping & acting completely crazy - i think mommy screamed & she definitely got a jump or 2 in there..i'm just sitting here looking at the 2 of them like they're looney - i did get a bark, a few whines & a chase of the tail in the mix but geeeeeeeze, can't a pup just update his blog in a peaceful setting?!?

anywho..i spent a little time snoozing & a lot more time running around, acting like a clown..

but overall i was up & about, running around getting into whatever trouble i could find. in the midst of being sick, i've grown a great deal of weight without anyone knowing the wiser..i had outgrown my "puppy" collar that i got from mama shirley at boxers of cheyenne...it didn't hurt to outgrow but mom said it was about time to change it anyways as the other one was beginning to smell a little. so here's my new rasta pup collar.

as you can see in this pic, i have a bad habit of leaving my kibble EVERYWHERE & it drives mommy mad!! i couldn't really help it here, i was actually quite famished & low on energy so it was all i could do not to choke. but holy moly, wow-wee after i finished that lovely bowl of yummy goodness, i felt like stretching my legs to get some hours worth of daddy-playtime...

mommy came up to me, upset that i had left all that kibble on the ground..so i tried to just give her the evil, rolling of the eyes...

she didn't appreciate it all that much & tried to assert some control/force in the situation...i told her "mooooooooooom, i am BUSY playing with my daddy..please don't make me stop or i will most certainly throw a temper tantrum"....

she kept on & on, so i FLIPPED OUT!!!! "MOMMMYYYYYYYYY, i do not want to go in there"

but she made me go clean it up anyways & said we were not having any person, animal or any of the like leaving a mess like that in this household for her to clean up..then she fussed at me for being disrespectful & put me in my crate, all by my lonesome in the room. :( what a bummer!?!

after i got out of prison - i was pretty unruly & peed in the house twice just today. they were pretty mad with me but mommy says she thinks it's all the pent up energy from being sick & not being able to take longer walks b/c we didn't want my water poo everywhere for other dogs to get into & get sick. who knows..they're supposed to talk to doc tomorrow to figure out where to go from here with my diagnosis...

so mommy says that some groundhog saw his shadow yesterday & that means we're gonna have 6 more weeks of winter! now, i don't exactly know what or who this groundhog is, nor do i understand how his shadow even talks b/c i chase my shadows constantly & they never once play back, or run from me, much less tell me anything.. either way, i don't know if i can take that much more winter b/c i'm ready to get out & about without worrying about the snow or tucking my tail under just to warm my booty...

don't get me wrong, i mean - like my mommy - i do love my sunbathing

but i'm SO ready to do it outside as opposed to in front of the french doors...i guess i'm just gonna have to talk to Penny, Lola & Sherman so we can figure out how to get to PA so i can reason with this groundhog AND his shadow.

morning to all you animals (humans included) out there..this is kaiser's mom sitting in to write a bit...and to let everyone know that we haven't posted an update because kaiser has been a sick puppy.

from the time we've gotten him, he's often had loose stool just because of changes in his diet with the kennel cough medication and possible food allergies. after his latest food switch, his stomach had not settled (so to speak) and the frequency with which he had to poo increased to almost 4 or 5 times per 1 short walk. his father and i immediately became worried, taking him to animal alpha last weekend for a fecal exam.

dr. segl ended up finding some giardia, prescribed us a dewormer and metronidazole which he is still in the process of taking. she was pleased to see, as were we, that he weighed about 40 pounds and obviously had been receving all of his nutrients. through everything, kaiser has never seemed "sick" - his disposition stays joyful and just as much puppy as ever and his activity level has increased despite him ever having been ill in any form.

two days ago, upon letting him out of his crate for his morning walk and "chow down" - he threw up food from the evening before. we attributed it to his medication because he didn't act differently and ate like a champ, per his usual greedy self. last night before dinner, our play was put on pause due to him vomiting twice - 1st with kibble he had just eaten and immediately after jumping around, the 2nd of what looked to be stomach acid and after just walking around. we again figured it to be the medication because he had no problem eating all of his food or with running around for hours afterward, playing with his new toy. he slept well and was uber-active this morning, immediately wanting to be fed, then moving on to his new toy.

on his pre-get in the car-let's go to work walk, we noticed streaks of red blood in his stool which was loose as it was before starting this treatment. i called dr. segl this morning to discuss everything and she has a suspicion that he has colitis, but wants to proceed with more testing - a full work up, possibly xrays, and worst-case scenario endoscopy. kaiser's dad will be taking him over in a couple hours for the full work up and exam, and hopefully we can figure out what ails him.

again, kaiser seems to be a healthy puppy from his actions and disposition so the situation has yet to be "dark"..but it is most definitely worrisome to his father and myself..and even to kaiser who looks so confused and helpless after he throws up..our poor baby. i will continue to update you all on his status as we find out new information. please send all of your good vibes our way as kaiser loves to sit with me and read your comments/blogs!!!

just a quick note..

i know everyone probably thought i forgot about my blogger buds,

but i promise that that is NOT the case!

you know mommy normally updates on the weekends,

& i think i've almost talked her into updating more often than that....BUT

this past week her grandfather passed away. she's doing just fine now...

but it was pretty rough around here. then she & daddy left on friday morn...daddy came back..

but not mommy. i searched & searched & searched for mommy all weekend.

she called a few times each day to check in on me to make sure her baby was okay.

i discussed a few things over the phone with her..

then on monday morning at almost 3am - she came walking in the door!!!

she let me out of my crate & gave me the biggest hug & bunches of mommy kisses

i was so excited, i almost couldn't contain myself so we went for a short walk then went to sleep.

things are back to normal, i'm back to going to work with daddy & all that.

i was so incredibly thrilled, thankful & surprised to receive this from my buds

i'm supposed to tell everyone up to 10 buds that make

blogland the best thing since chocolate cake (which i'm not allowed to eat b/c i'm a doggie)

so i'd like to offer it to cairo, peanut & flash, bella, & bogart.

1. if i were another kind of animal, i would be a liger b/c they're so kewl.

New Year, New Things...

as they say, a new year brings new things but life was pretty much the same as 2007 this past week. if you consider a holiday-vacation-type week "pretty much the same" as every other week of the year. i've relaxed so much lately that i almost forgot what it was like to have to work a full day. daddy & mommy were each able to spend a few days with me but then on friday, i ended up having to help daddy at work. it wasn't too bad a day, we weren't busy at all so i tried to catch up on some zzzzzz's.

now that i think about it.....most of the weekend i spent catching up on zzzzzzz's. all this talk of 2008, the brand new things happening in my life (like being able to go to the park, i.e. see previous post), & overall being uber-active compared to even the week before has a pup like me pretty worn out. i've been trying to perfect the art of snooze for quite some time..it's only been a matter of months since i graduated from novice to average in the arena of sleep - that wonderfully warm, fluffy, cushy, place called sleep (this generation would know it as being "knocked out").

mommy says that she would put a $5 bill on the notion that i've excelled from average to professional snoozer in just the past week. you name it, i'll sleep in it, on it, under it...anywhere, anytime. my mommy would say that i'm the "cat in the hat" of sleep...i could do it on a chair, i could sleep in places rare...in my bed stretched far out wide,

in my crate next to its side...i can sleep, pick a spot, anytime, i'll snore a lot. okay, sorry for that tangent - mommy was telling me about dr. seuss again (i said i am NOT going to be that reindeer just for your amusement...enough of that.) all this talk of sleep is making me.....yawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn...very tired..so i need to move on or else.

this weekend was pretty fun even though we didn't do very much. daddy is renewing his passport & is buying mommy hers as one of her christmas presents (she's never had one before)..so i made them take quite a bit of shots to see what facial expression i should use on mine. i think this one works the best because they say not to smile, to just look regular & everday. yeah, this definitely is my everyday look. half serious, half chillaxin.

after doing that for a while, i helped dad look at shoes..or as we say "kicks" from his favorite store, Major, in DC. it's a really kewl store, & my dad's magazine "Complex" had a spread on them. they have really kewl shoes in all different kinds of neat colors. he wanted to pick out some for mommy, so here we are discussing what color choice would work best in her wardrobe. i could look at all these kicks for hours...

on saturday & sunday, i watched a bunch of football with daddy. i love that stuff, & daddy & i love pulling for our NY Giants - GO GIANTS!!! here i am after the games yesterday, just flipping through the channels, finding what i can find, watching what i can watch. i've been watching the previews for mtv's rob&big show. mommy & daddy love that show so they were telling me about it & the commercial came on..they have Meaty, a big white bull dog, but he's a skater too - i think i mentioned him in an earlier post..anywho, that show starts tomorrow nite so i'll be watching that...

anyway, that was about it for the weekend - like i said, pretty chill. as far as more updates go, it may have to wait until next weekend as usual..i'm trying to talk mom into updating more often. i keep telling her i have so many readers that love my updates..i've just about talked her into it i think...whatcha think? you think i can talk her into it? how did y'all talk your humans to update more often...i think i may need some pointers...until the next round..puppy slobberz...

AKC-Registered, VPI-Insured, Fully-Vaccinated & Ready for the World

well it's official that i'm official. mommy & daddy received my akc paperwork about a month ago, my insurance policy has been in effect for a few weeks & today dr. segl gave me my last of my first shots..can i get a woohoo?!? daddy says my life is about to change since i can (legally) do so many things from here on out:

instead of having to ride in the stupid blue carts or sitting in the car at petsmart, petco & any other pet store, i can finally walk around with my humans like a big dog...
my parents won't have to hold me every time i come in contact with a neighbor dog because they don't have to worry about me catching something from them
i can pretty much walk & do my business anywhere i please instead of having to stick to nearby, bland areas where no strange dogs visit
i can finally go to the park up the street with my humans where we can do laps, see other people, & maybe even have a picnic or two (when it gets warm of course)
i can (let me get a bunch of woohoo's on this one) FINALLY go to the doggie park to visit all the pups in the neighborhood
instead of just chatting & watching event after event go by, i am now ready to actually attend some of the dc metro boxer meet-ups (so excited about meeting you guys!!!)
maybe now i can find a reliable place to go to doggie daycare near mommy or daddy's job, that way i can take care of my own things instead of straightening things out at daddy's job everyday
& last but certainly not least (according to my parents), i can start attending puppy behavior training classes so my parents won't have to worry about me being out of control (all the time)

soooo, where to start my tales...i guess i should start with santa paws & all the wonderful toys he brought me...so i know i told you how my stocking was stuffed full - the contents were variety show...a stretchy reindeer, a ball/rope pull toy, an akc mallard with a string & ball at the end of it that squeaked (i think these akc toys are my fav toys by far), a yellow squishy football & a green, blue & white chew rope - the next size up from the one i first had b/c i'm bigger now.

as if that wasn't enough, my auntie katie sent me a yellow tennis ball & my pawpaw & grammie sent me a rawhide bone all to myself. (i'm thinking they had to hide it from layla when they were sending b/c i just know she was jealous about it, not to mention unhappy.) the bone is still around here somewhere, but my mommy & daddy took it from me b/c i was so concentrated on it, i had ignored the rest of my toys which made them feel a little unloved (which i did NOT want to happen). plus, i hadn't touched any of my breakfast, which my mommy did not like one bit.

here i am with my reindeer after a few hours of playing..we were both pooped & in desperate need of an early evening snooze...let's all say a few words for this homie since he ended up lasting only about 24 hours before retiring to that big place in the sky....stretchy reindeer toy heaven...the other picture is of me & my new chew rope, it was grrrrrrrreat (i got that from tony the tiger..hehe)

as i said before, i'm fully vaccinated thanks to the great people at alpha animal hospital. today was my official last visit of the year and the completion of my puppy shots. i didn't even have to get up on the table today since i'm big enough for dr. segl to examine on the ground. ya know what else??? i didn't even yelp this time around..i was so concentrated on her treats...i think she must put some harry potter magic on those treats b/c they just keep me mezmerized. they also let me have a smaller version of my squishy football so i spent a good 20 minutes total before, during & just after my examination playing soccer with myself in the room...it was great. then when we were leaving, i had the pleasure of meeting 2 very nice, gorgeous birds. mommy can't remember what kind they were, but i just thought their song was so nice, i just sat there..looking & listening..but out of my visit, i finally got my rabies tag..official business..not to mention that at 15 weeks, i'm now 29 lbs!!! dr. segl says i'm well on my way to being a full-grown 70 - 80 lbs...

after my visit with dr. segl, mommy & daddy took me for my first "walking" tour of petsmart, which i absolutely loved. it was a blast to see how many kewl things they have in that place. i think mommy said we may be taking my puppy classes there but they haven't decided since it's my first days as an official pup. we ended up picking up a few things b/c i was out of food to begin with, then with walking around you know you can't help but pick up other stuff since you're already there.

at the beginning of our tour, we had to stop at the "clean-up" eisle...pffff.. i mean i didn't want to say this but let's face it, we all have accidents from time to time & the other nite i'd been playing pretty hard with my daddy & the heron...so when i finally calmed down enough to sit still, i had a slight problem. okay, okay, mommy says i need to be honest - so it wasn't a slight problem, i took a big pee on the carpet. i didn't think mommy & daddy saw it (which they didn't at first) so i tried to slip over to my doggie bed. i must've not done it calmly enough b/c they immediately looked at me & i guess my pitiful, droopy eared stare made them think to look down. that's when they saw it - the puddle.. so yeah, as i was saying..we all have accidents now & again..so here i am trying to ignore the cleaners altogether since they made me sit there while they chose which product they wanted most..hmm, whatever!

on our way out of the store, we passed a few lost & found pups since the local shelter/organization was having an adoption event. there were the cutest little mixed baby dogs so mommy let me visit with them for a moment. after that we passed the most beautiful site in the whole, wide world..(next to treats & food). the toysssssss. & can i just say "wow"...from balls to ropes, from animals to squeaky crazy shapes..this place had it all. daddy let me take a sniff around but we ended up not getting anything. i was a little upset at first, mainly b/c i didn't want to leave at all but i remembered how many great gifts santa & the fam sent me..so i was kewl with the thought that i'm sure we'd be back & i'm positive that i could talk my daddy into getting me one special thing..i basically can talk him into anything cuz i'm his boy...

whew, i'm glad you were able to stick with me long enough to update all of that. mommy says she may have to help me update more often. dr. segl said when her new website is up & running that she may link to my site..my blog is getting fans here, there & everywhere & it's really exciting. i'm happy to know there are others out there as interested in my life as i am fascinated by all the happenings of it...

with that said, i'll update everyone bout my new year's eve plans in a few days...for now, i wish you love, peace & happiness for your 2008, not to mention many days filled with your favorite things!!! i'm excited to see what it has in store for a pre-teen like me..

okay so i know everyone says this is a busy season, but i had no idea what to expect. the parents have had me here & there & everywhere. i get up early, go to work all day long with my daddy, drive out to pick up mommy, then go home for dinner....so, when i get home in the evenings - sometimes i just like to sit around.

i had gotten a little tired of my big crate so i asked dad to move it to the guestroom while i situated my doggie bed in its rightful spot. but now that my bed is out in the open, i like to sit in it & ponder life, what the week(end) has in store, the best way in which one could successfully attack the heron, or exactly where that piece of cold stuff the parents call "ice" went when i was kicking it around in the kitchen. i'm also trying to learn how to skate board like Meaty on MTV's Rob & Big show..daddy told mommy all about my first try...long story, but basically we saw this lil' dude with a skateboard & i tried & tried until i got up on it, skating a lil' ways before ending that adventure. i can't wait to try again.

i haven't had much time to myself lately though - any time i even sit for like 5 seconds, mommy has to come over to me with that pink metal thing that makes weird noises & flashes this light something awful! i get so sick of seeing that thing or hearing that irritating beep. this is me, disgusted with that metal thing...

i've gotten to where i just start making faces at her instead of sitting & looking like the studly little pup i am. anyways, here are a few of my crazy faces - i'm learning that they work really well, so if any of you would like to take them, i won't freak out on you or anything. i've found that the "scruntched eye" and the "tongue" look are the most effective. The key is to do something really cute...

so that on the second or so pic...BAM...weird face!!!

size update time...mommy tricked me into getting on the scale last night..just for kicks. she says i'm somewhere between 27 & 30 lbs..now that could be different from the scale at Dr. Segl's but the parents both think i've gained some weight, if anything b/c my legs are getting longer & i'm overall just looking like a big, goofy puppy dog. now that my legs are so long, i'm getting pretty good about getting on the couch by myself.

i'm not supposed to get up there without an invitation, but sometimes i use my charm, conning them into letting me up...mommy caught me standing up instead of laying down..i tried to explain that i was just worried about dad leaving, but mommy said i knew better & that dad was just going to get dinner..so i calmed down, played with the heron & kept mommy safe until he got back. the pic below is of when mommy caught me with that metal thing....i told you i hated it...

tonight, mommy came home from a hard day at work & i thought i'd be nice so i decided to sit down, help her organize her thoughts & sign a few cards on their behalf...i mean the cards were from me too so it was the least i could do. first of all, i had mommy lay everything out in a particular fashion so it was really easy for me to handle, almost like one of those conveyor belt production lines.

then, i lay down to sort my thoughts to come up with the best wording possible. of course, i also signed a few & closed them up for mommy to put in the envelopes.

anyway, i think that's all for now. i'm very tired this evening with all the projects i have going on...i'll most likely update after the weekend or just before/after christmas day. i know i'm going to have some new things to share after santa paws comes to see me..hope you liked my lil card...puppy slobberz...

well, well, well..first & foremost, my mommy said that she would like to apol...apolo....she's sorry for not helping me to update my blog lately. this entry is gonna be a long one b/c i have so much to tell y'all..i was so excited to get back to the computer that i couldn't help myself...

mommy helped me to create a slideshow with some of the latest pics of me having fun & taking care of things around the house. i have lots of responsibilities here, like supervising dinner preparations, making sure Daddy & Mommy are doing what they're supposed to be doing..you know, important things. i'm so excited b/c i have 2 new toys!! mr. hedgehog basically guards my crate at all times, so we don't really rough each other up much anymore..instead, my daddy bought me this great AKC heron..it has ropes for legs & squeaks, mommy was surprised b/c i unraveled the braid of one of the legs within about 10 minutes of them giving it to me ..then there's my new bone - it's a lil' squishy & it was my gift for being so good at my vet visit...

speaking of...so i went to visit Dr. Segl at Alpha Animal Hospital on December 8th. i just love going there b/c everyone is so nice! i had to get my 2nd shots & only yelped once & that was b/c the medicine burned me a lil', but then Dr. Segl gave me these yummy treats & all i could think about was getting/finding more. one big thing was that they weighed me & everyone was so shocked b/c i ended up weighing 22 lbs!!!!

so then, we came home..the next morning when i woke up - there was this white stuff all over the place & it was freezing! mommy said it was called snow when she took me out for my morning pee...then both my parents took me for a walk in the evening & we walked around playing in it. ahhhh my first snow...it was so much fun, they say it's supposed to do it again this weekend - but we haven't seen anything..not even rain, although it feels just as cold out.

sooooooooo...i know i mentioned the utter torture i endured earlier this month...those dreaded antlers that my mommy put on me. talk about irritating & just a pitiful situation...here's the good photo mom has shared with everyone...

i wish someone would ask her why she doesn't share this one...yeah, that's right...exactly what an angry, P O'ed Kaiser Blaze looks like...i was so fed up with these stupid things, if i could find somewhere in this house where my mommy can't get to..i'm taking them where she'll never ever find them...AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. ugh, makes me sick just thinking about those things...

the next pic is one my mommy wanted to put on here, she says i look like some dog from the grinch stole christmas..i've never watched that movie before but it makes mommy laugh every time she mentions it...she told me to ask what you all think, do i look like that dog in these photos...

so, mommy has been in contact with a nice lady named laurie who actually welcomed one of my sister's into her home. i've been so excited about this b/c i get to see pics of her growing up as i'm growing up. kinda makes me feel like i'm not alone in this big, HUGE, world..

i know what you're thinking, and nooooooooo it's not me. her name is magic, and i think she's probably my "twin" from our litter. those genes must be GREAT - she's going to be a heartbreaker one of these days. mommy is trying to find out where she lives so that when we both have all our shots, we can set play dates or something. i really hope that works out.

anyway, i thought i'd share the pics of her since it has me feeling all cozy for the holidays...i have more pictures to share which mommy says will have to happen this weekend. just to give everyone a head's up though - mommy made me wear these STUPID, stupid, stupid antlers like i was a reindeer or something...ugh, it was the most horrific and embarrasing thing EVER!

okay so mommy finally downloaded all my pics & vids from her camera (only took her forever!) the trip to north cak was so long, but i slept for most of it. mommy & daddy stopped at the rest area & a few other places for me to go potty & so i could stretch my legs. here i am at the rest area with my dad - examining the ground for quality & safety

after first arrving at grammie & paw paw's house..i couldn't quite get the hang of attacking layla so she pretty much gave me a beating. i wasn't expecting her to be so big considering mommy told me she was a pup, too...i got a couple good nips in there though...

this is me - resting my bones after my first battle thursday evening, as you can see - i had mommy's cell phone right beside me in case my daddy called me needing anything important

this video is of the final battle between Kaiser Blaze & Layla, as you can tell - my battling/boxing skils are developing little by little.. ;) i kept trying to get a hold of her tail b/c i figured i could just whirl her around with it, but she never was still long enough.

this is me saturday nite, after many well-fought battles..i've developed a brand new obsession with socks so i'm snuggling with mom's red, comfy, warm, holiday socks in this one - no one knows what i do with daddy's b/c they can't catch me after i've grabbed up a pair..

it’s been a tough month for lil’ ol’ me...adjusting to the new life & new home has been great & I’m having lots of fun. we just returned from north cakalak where my mommy and daddy grew up; i got to meet all my extended human peoples like my grammie, paw paw and nana! mommy says they spoiled me so much b/c my grammie gave me liver & ham stock, YUMMY!!! i spent most of the time playing with my cousin layla – she’s what my mommy called a lab mix – i call her my new best bud. mommy has video of me & her wrestling at grammie’s house but she said we didn't have time to post that now..have to post it laterz on.

back to the first comment though – about it being a tough month...i’ve been sick. daddy took me to the vet – this wonderful lady in fairfax at alpha animal hospital – and she said i had kennel cough. all I know is i kept hacking & couldn’t stop – mommy was so scared b/c my breathing was very quick & i felt like i had a fever. i didn’t want to eat or play or anything, just lay around in my doggie bed & snore the day away. (mommy says I’m the worst snorer ever!) anyway, i got some anti…antibio…some medicine & took it for a week. i’m still coughing some but overall feeling much better, i get to see the alpha animal peoples again next saturday so hopefully she will give me a clean bill of health…

1. i do not like the “claw” even though it tries to play with me constantly..it honestly drives me insane to where i bark & bark trying to get it away or bite it
2. i have 2 (b/c i’m so spoiled) crates/dens/kennels that are really comfy, one is big enough for my entire bed
3. mommy nicknamed me "stinky" b/c I fart, burp and smell like a “boy”
4. i get the hiccups ALL the time
5. i LOVE car rides – well actually I like them & tend to sleep so I don’t know if that means i LOVE them or not.

home sweet home

home sweet home...ahhh..oh how sweet it is...i really miss my family at Boxers of Cheyenne but i do have to say that this new home in regular virginia ain't too shabby. there are so many new things to figure out and so many roooms to explore...not to mention the toys!!! i have an entire tub full ,if you can believe it!

it's been a great week and a half. i spent just about every day with my daddy at his work everyone at his work was so nice to me and would play with me all throughout the day. i get to go there again tomorrow so i'm really excited. hopefully one day, i'll be able to go to mommy's job and meet all the people there.

speaking of which, my mommy's friend and coworker, miss christina, came over last sunday with mr. chris and my pal curty!!! we had a BLAST just running around in the house. i can't wait to see him again so we can hang out and run some laps. there's a pic of us in the slideshow below along with a few others from my first days home.

i also get to go with my parents to north carolina for thanksgiving. i can't wait b/c then i get to meet all my grandparents - so excited! anyway, that's all for now - i'll write more laterz...

okay...so i'm nervous. not really nervous about my new people..but nervous about the new home, the new friends, the new life...and leaving..and the car ride that will officially enable my "leave"...my tummy has been in knots all day long which wasn't fun b/c i had to go to the vet too..whew..i doubt i'll be able to sleep much tonight.

i'm going to wait to post pics of all my new stuff so that i can add those pics to pics of my new home and such..so you have to wait a lil' longer for those. HOWEVER...my friends FINALLY sent me pics so that i could put them up on here so i can share those to bide the time and feed your appetites...plus i had to post something on my blog. i felt it was the only way to get my mind off the move and yet what did i start my post with - moving nervousness!!! i'm such a freakin' weirdo!

okay, the first two gentlemen are Blue Z. (top pic) and Bug E. (bottom pic) - my mommy works with their aumpy karen. they have been so nice to me (despite the tension between them b/c they are brothers). i don't know if i'll ever be able to meet them in person, but i surely hope so. they're the coolest cats i've met - EXCEPT for Bob the Bobcat - noone will ever replace him..but they're great pals!

this is my homie, Curtis Roscoe. his mommy and my mommy are good friends and they work together. my mommy says she's known Curtis (she calls him Curty) since he was a pup like me. i'm really excited b/c he and his mommy may come to visit me at my home in regular virginia on sunday. i really hope they come b/c i cannot WAIT to see him in person. he was a lobster for howl-o-ween...

okay that's all for now. i've signed up for dogster so i'm making a lot of friends on there....okay, i'm going to try and have some din din before i play a little with my siblings..then hopefully i can get some shut eye....

u know, regardless of all the nervousness - i'm super excited about seeing my humans tomorrow!!!

3 Days & Change

this morning i realized that there are only 3 days & some change until i see my human parents again. this is a very happy occasion b/c i get to go with them to my new home in regular virginia. i was a little down about it being that i have to leave everyone at boxers of cheyenne, but i overheard my mommy & ms. shirley talking last time & ms. shirley said i can come back to visit whenever i want. plus mommy said ms. shirley can keep up with me on my blog. <i knew this would be a good thing mommmmmm.>

i am really excited about going to 5019 - i hear it's the place to be. mommy & daddy went to petsmart yesterday & apparently got a nifty new doggie bed for me, along with a bunch of toys. mommy says i have so many toys already, she doesn't know when i'll have time to play with them all - i really don't think she has to worry. mom said dad took forever trying to figure out which "tug" toy was the best for me (& for him to use), but he said she couldn't figure out which bed was best so they were even.

<just between me and you, i think you can never have too many toys & i'm probably going to tear up whatever bed they bought me anyways so what does it really matter...> i'll post pics of everything laterz.

so, here's my latest pic. i was a lil' nervous about even putting it up - i just don't get it..my legs are growing, but my body feels like it's staying the same (even though it was big before & i'm probably just freakin' for no reason). ms. shirley is taking me wednesday for my vet check before i can go to regular virginia. at first i thought it had something to do with my legs growing issue, but my brothers & sisters also have to go, so i guess it's all gravy! <i mean, let's face it, my leg problem is nothing compared to some of the other issues that the siblings have - namely sleeping on top of my head, eating way too much at dinner, hogging the toys, running into me with their clumsy selves - oh yeah, & stinking up the place.>

anywho, i have some other things to say but i need to let the brats (brothers & sisters) use the computer, too. i'm so excited to be meeting people on blogger & other places..i'll have to tell you all about my new friends in the area and the meetup group my parents joined..woohoo!

can't wait to come home..

only one more week (+a little over a day) until i come home with my mommy and daddy. ms. shirley told mommy how i've fallen in love with puppy food. they said i was getting too old to still be after my mom's milk - oh well, it was nice while it lasted. i'm loving playing with my other siblings..AND we've all been really excited b/c some of the other boxer family members at Boxers of Cheyenne - Cody and Allie had 8 baby puppies - like really baby puppies. they're so cute, but it's weird not being the babies anymore..

since i haven't had any 5019 adventures, i'd thought i'd leave you with a video and some older pics from when my mommy and daddy came to visit me in capon bridge...

that's me stumbling around before i even knew what legs were..you can see my comfy brown blanket that my daddy and mommy brought for my 1-month birthday on Oct. 13. they also brought me a toy that i like to call Mr. Hedgehog..he squeaks and everything!..then you can see my daddy giving me a gentle rub - i like laying on my blankie and getting a nice rub until i fall asleep...

i'm still trying to get acclimated to this whole "Blogger" thing, but for now here's my first photo. i'm only 6 weeks old in this pic and already looking like a big boy. it was finally nice enough for my siblings and me to go outside and play... i can't believe it's already been 6 weeks, but next thursday i finally get to go home with my mommy and daddy. i hope alexandria is as nice as capon bridge has been. i'm going to miss my siblings and family at boxers of cheyenne, but i know i'll have a blast with my new people...hmmm, i wonder what trouble awaits me at 5019?!?
